Top professionals of the Dance World conduct Summer and Winter Workshops at the Linda Jamieson School of Dance. Mike Minery & Katy Spreadbury Tap and Jazz experts from “Jump Dance Convention”, Derrick Yanford, Contemporary and Jazz specialist, former star of “Footloose” “West Side Story”, “Evita” Walt Disney’s “Kids of the Kingdom”, Christophe Maraval, Paris Opera Principal Dancer, Evelyn Hart, Canada’s Prima Ballerina and internationally acclaimed coach of Ballet’s newest stars, and Karin Baker choreographer assistant for “42nd Street”, highlight our Guest Teacher Program.
The enthusiasm, energy, and sheer joy of learning is evident in our Classes, Annual Year-end Recitals, Competitive Team, Summer Dance Programs, Guest Teacher Workshops, as well as in our Professional Ballet Productions; The Nutcracker, Giselle, Coppelia, and Swan Lake.
Our Graduates have gone on to Professional Dance Careers in the Broadway productions of “Cats”, “Crazy For You”, “Kiss Me Kate”, “Hello Dolly”, and “Lost In Yonkers”, Toronto’s Production of “Chicago” “European Tour of 42nd Street”. Others have danced with the National Ballet of Canada, The Royal Winnipeg Ballet Company, in the Hollywood Film, “Barney’s Great Adventure”, the National Arts Centre Orchestra’s Christmas and Spring Pops Concerts, as well as Caribbean, Celebrity, and Norwegian Cruise Lines.
