Guillaume Pruneau

Guillaume began his training at the Jeune Ballet and l’Ecole Superieure de danse du Quebec. His studies continued at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School Professional Division.

As a professional dancer and valued member of the Jeune Ballet de France in Paris, he went on to the world renowned Bejart Ballet Company in Lausanne. There he was offered many opportunities to perform Maurice Bejart’s masterful repertoire.

In 2002 he returned to Canada and joined Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal and was promoted to Soloist in 2009. He has danced many lead roles such as “King Florestan” in Mats Ek, “Sleeping Beauty”, “The Snow Queen’s Cavalier” in “The Nutcracker” and “Paris” in Jean-Christophe Maillot’s “Romeo and Juliettte”. He has also danced in “Minus One” by Ohad Nahaim, “Cantata” by Mauro Bigonzetti, “Kaleidescope” by Peter Quantz, “Forgotten Land” by Jiri Kylian and many more.

Guillaume is also a choreographer who has produced neo-classic pieces such as the one featured in the GBC Workshop Program. We welcome Guillaume as our Nutcracker Prince.
