Julie Crowson

Julie was born and raised in Ottawa, is a graduate of the Linda Jamieson School of Dance. She began her dance career at the age of four in our Creative Movement Class and danced all styles of dance offered. She has completed all Ballet Examinations of the Royal Academy of Dance from Pre Primary to Advanced 1.

Julie continued to express her passion for dance when she went to university. She attended Queen’s University and completed her Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Kinesiology. While doing so, she competed and choreographed for the competitive Queen’s Dance Team and participated in several dance classes. She danced in a professional contemporary company called, “Exposed,” and performed in their annual show entitled, “States of our Soul.” She continued to dance as she completed her Master’s of Physiotherapy from Queen’s University, following her Bachelor’s degree.

Julie is currently a full-time Registered Physiotherapist practicing at PSI Kanata and CBI Kanata. She has an avid interest in dance injuries and hopes to focus her practice on treating dancers in the near future.

She is extremely excited to join the faculty and to be back in the studio.
