"Before your presentation of the Nutcracker, we always took our daughter to the N.A.C. for this ballet. Now she is married and has three girls. As this ballet has always been a tradition with us, we started attending your production and without a doubt it is just wonderful. We have been making it our tradition with our granddaughters and they love it. Dressing up, the ballet and then out for some goodies, a wonderful day and a great start to the Christmas season. You and your staff and everyone involved are to be congratulated.

The best way to really explain how one of our girls feel about this is, I turned to her during last year's performance and said, "This ballet is a tradition with us." She in turn said, "I hope it always will be". Out of the mouths of babes! "

"This spectacular production, with its lavish costumes, magnificent sets, and superb dancing is a MUST SEE... a community treasure not to be missed!"

Former Editor of the Kanata Kourier, Sally Smith

"For many years, my family has experienced the wonder of your "Nutcracker". No we don't spend a fortune at the N.A.C., we go to our beloved Linda Jamieson's Nutcracker Production.

It all started when our granddaughter Lindsay was three years old --she is now 18 and in first year University. As each new grandchild turned 3, they would join us for what became a weekend of joyous traditions. Saturday is spent making gingerbread houses and decorating gingerbread cookies... after an early dinner the icing brigade get all decked out in their new Christmas Outfits and we pile into cars for the much anticipated Nutcracker. No matter that they know the story by heart, it's as if they are seeing it for the first time. The thrill of the "Owl Clock", the suspense as the Christmas tree magically grows taller and taller... the excitement as each and every dancer transports us to that magical place in a child's imagination. When given the opportunity to have outgrown the "Nutcracker" weekend, our 15-year-old grandson replied, "Oh please count me in, it's the beginning of Christmas and the most fun."

What shall we do when they all grow up and are too busy with their lives -- Pray for Great Grandchildren, of course, because after all, as a wise 15 year old said, "It's the beginning of Christmas and the most fun". Thank you Ms. Jamieson and all the dancers over the years, young and not so young."
